15% of Abstraction

"The exhibition series entitled 15% of Abstraction invites young artists associated with Wrocław to acquaint themselves with the work of the doyens of the local art scene – especially those who once co-created the so-called Wrocław Group – and enter into a dialogue with it.

Neither the venue for the presentation of the cycle nor its title is accidental. The Mieszkanie Gepperta Gallery is located in the former flat and studio of the famous married couple of painters associated with Wrocław – professor Eugeniusz Geppert and Hanna Krzetuska. He was an esteemed neo-impressionist and the first post-war rector of the State Higher School of Fine Arts (PWSSP) in Wrocław;; she – an interesting abstractionist remaining in the shadow of her husband and an animateur of artistic life in post-war Wrocław whose work is yet to be be thoroughly researched and described."
